| Mrs. Bowers is simply in a snit. Every time she turns around, someone is introducing so-called "Hate Crimes" legislation. It is absolutely outrageous that some quixotic souls are trying to interfere with every American's God-ordered right to hate! I am pleased to note that most traditional family values organizations, such as Focus on the Family and its indistinguishable cousin Families Under Christ's Kingdom, have made the defeat of "Hate Crimes" legislation a cause célèbre. Never missing an opportunity to cater to the ordinary citizen's wish to hate in an unfettered manner, our very own Republican Party is doing its damnedest to ensure that ALL Americans will be free to hate just as often as their busy schedules allow.
Even in my own city Atlanta, which bills itself as "The City Too Busy Too Hate," the Mrs. Betty Bowers' Christian Ministries has purchased billboards throughout the city admonishing Atlantans to "Make Time!"
Thankfully, hate is free to flourish in other parts of God's lovely garden planet. Yes, there are places where one can still enjoy a lovely sunny afternoon of hating without worry that it will be spoiled by politically correct sexual perverts, castrating feminists or dreadful interloping minorities. For example, it warms Mrs. Bowers' heart that our superior Western Culture has left such a profound legacy on the colonial assimilationists of Africa. Haven't we done so much for those people? In addition to historically providing a receptive market to that continent's exports (particularly their lovely selection of slaves), Christian America has taken time out of its busy day to instill these people with true Christian ideals. While we did not actually have the time necessary to feed, educate or clothe more than a handful (but they should hardly take that as a slight; we would do no more for fellow Americans), we have made sure that their hate rhetoric has a stable foundation -- The Christian Bible.
"I have told the [police] to look for homosexuals, lock them up and charge them. The Bible spells it out clearly that God created Adam and Eve as wife and husband, but not to marry men."
-- Yoweri Museveni, President of Uganda
"Homosexuality is against all the norms of African society and culture. We don't believe they have any rights at all. Let them be gay in the United States, Europe and elsewhere. They shall be sad people here."
-- Robart Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe
It is not right that a man should go with another man, or a woman with another woman. It is against African tradition and biblical teachings. I will not shy from warning Kenyans against the dangers."
-- Daniel arap Moi, President of Kenya
